St. John Lutheran Church Port Washington, WI

Description
During a search for a new site for the church and school the building committee found an existing office/lab facility for sale. After Smies Architects compared costs for building new, verses buying/renovating and building, the church bought the existing 50,000 square foot office campus.

Phase I included renovation of the old open concept office building into a new two-story Kindergarten through 8th grade school.

Phase II converted the old lab building into a temporary sanctuary and fellowship hall.

A future sanctuary will be built as funds are available.
