Mt. Olive Lutheran Church Weston, Wisconsin

Description
The addition was designed to add additional space and improve circulation into and throughout the building. The sloping site and the location of the present building and parking lot had created a basement level entrance on the north side of the building. Most members came onto the facility thru the basement and up an interior stairway. The new addition created a visible drop off entrance to a new circulation corridor with a naturally lit stairs and elevator into the facility. A new corridor brings members past the new church offices, nursery and the Family Life Center.

The new Family Life Center can serve 500 people at church dinners and also act as a contemporary worship center. It is located next to the existing gathering space which was also enlarged. Extra church school classrooms are also accessible off the Family Life Center and allow an additional 80 diners as overflow seating. New kitchen, restrooms, mechanical and storage spaces comprise the remainder of the addition. Another secondary entrance and corridor lead from an expanded parking lot directly past renovated pre-school rooms and offices.

The addition was designed for future expansion of six new classrooms along the north side of the building.
