WHY CHOOSE SMIES &
ASSOCIATES, ARCHITECTS LLC
FOR YOUR RELIGIOUS FACILITY?
Smies & Associates, Architects, LLC, is particularly interested in
your project because we specialize in religious architecture. Our primary
focus and desire is to assist congregations in identifying and articulating
their unique vision for their church. In your situation, as in most churches
this process will be particularly important. We are committed to guiding
you through a process we have designed for this specific purpose.
We recognize that religious architecture is unlike any other. All other
types of architecture focus on the will of the customer. Religious architecture
focuses on the will of God, as it is interpreted by the leadership of
your church. We share your commitment to determine God’s will for
your congregation and pray with you that His will be done in every phase
of your project.
In addition to the focus shift from us to God, religious architecture
differs from other types of architecture in that it must be concerned
about unity in its membership. A successful church or church - school
building project can only be accomplished if God is glorified in the process,
as well as the end result. We strive to ensure unity of your members by
offering a variety of methods to gather their thoughts, including surveys,
questionnaires, workshops, individual meetings with all committees, and
informational meetings for the church members. You may have already determined
the needs of your congregation, however, if you have not we are able and
willing to help you through that process as well. We will do our best
to help you continue a two-way communication with church members. The
opportunity to “be heard” will enhance unity and generate
enthusiasm and commitment to the project.
You have been chosen to lead your congregation on a very exciting journey.
We are asking for the opportunity to be your tour guide. And, someday,
when we all reach our final destination, we hope to hear Him say to all
of us, “Well done, thou good and faithful servants!”
