Smies & Associates, Architects LLC is a full-service design and engineering firm that specializes in religious facilities which account for around 60% of our workload. Along with our religious work we also focus our skills on the design of education and commercial buildings, of many types including banks, offices, car dealerships, and assisted living facilities.

Jeff Smies, owner and architect, was first a project manager, designer and project architect for 18 years with a firm that specialized in church, school, and commercial buildings. For the past ten years he has owned his own firm, and designed dozens of churches, schools, and general commercial buildings.

In addition to understanding the program needs and space assessments needed in today’s facilities, Jeff Smies also has an extensive background as a project coordinator with consultants and engineers during design and documentation preparation. He has over 25 years of experience in project field supervision during building construction.
